Weekend Update

The results of the first election seem to have been successful with no indications of tampering.

Delamore - 16
Ariii - 16
Phoenix Man - 11
Megablaze - 7
Glider101 - 3

The city will be governed by a 5 member city council, the head of which will serve as Mayor. This initial council will help me establish how long terms should last, as well as potential uses of city income once I have a tax system to generate funds.

I've updated code on the lottery to make it more realistic. I've sorted existing commands into three verb panels. I've also made headway on coding i.d. cards.

My main foci going forward will be to build a motel & a school, get the tax code up, create abilities & duties for the city council and finally to get the kinks in my building code worked out.

Mmm... Stable Host

After two full days, Citizen has not crashed. I'd forgotten what it's like to have a dependable operating system.

The game is still quite unplayable. Pre-alpha you could say and still quite skeletal. It will take a while to flesh it out enough to be really enjoyable but I have received some compliments as well as great feedback. I hope to get some coding done between Saturday and Sunday night.

I'm most proud of having a working day/night cycle. Daylight lasts from 7am to 7pm U.S. EST (GMT-5). I'm least proud of the icons for the people.

Urgent Issues

1. There are players who'd played in earlier alpha testing complaining of login issues. Still looking at this problem.

2. Players capable of spamming via several methods. Simple to fix.

3. Icons

4. Taxes

5. Introduction and Help menu
